Adaptive Optics Associates (AOA) - Xinetics, a Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) Strategic Business Venture, is seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager for its Xinetics Business Area located in Devens, MA. AOA Xinetics designs, develops, and manufactures precision, advanced optical products and systems such as deformable mirrors, adaptive optics control systems and silicon carbide optical structures for the U.S. Government, commercial customers, and U.S. defense prime and second-tier contractors. Markets for these technologies include civilian astronomy and defense ISR and Directed Energy. Several potential direct and adjacent application areas exist also. The Company has substantial growth opportunities in support of many U.S. Government and NGAS business initiatives. The Xinetics Engineering Manager will report directly to the Xinetics Business Area Manager and will be responsible for the Xinetics product designs while managing and identifying design engineering talent to meet current and future Xinetics' business direction. The successful candidate will work closely with his/her direct reports and business area leaders to develop market-leading products, engineering talent, tools, and processes, while also working closely with peer departments in manufacturing, quality, and program management. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for designing and transitioning to manufacturing high-value products through a range of disciplines including optical, systems, electrical, mechanical and software engineering in a team oriented and customer focused work environment. This position provides a broad, exciting leadership opportunity in a high-growth, strategically important businesses for NGAS. Specifically, the details of the position are the following:  oWorking manager for 5-10 engineers of various disciplines. oUsing a gated development process, lead engineering teams to successfully complete critical design reviews and transition completed designs to manufacturing. oManage and identify Xinetics design engineering talent to meet current and future Xinetics' business direction. oOccasionally will be the primary customer technical interface while encouraging and coordinating additional relationships between the customer and AOA Xinetics. Will be required to effectively communicate technical progress to customers, senior leadership and companywide audiences. oCollaborating with the Xinetics' Chief Engineer, develop technical proposal volumes in response to RFPs. Provide requirements analysis as well as identification of risks and appropriate risk mitigation strategies. oAttend meetings, seminars, symposiums and shows as a technical representative of AOA Xinetics. oIn collaboration with the domain specific leadership teams and AOA management, assesses strategic business opportunities, establishes strategic plans, and leads/participates in internal research and development planning and execution. oAssist in developing strategic product plans and roadmaps, identifying required new capabilities, providing feedback on products, industry trends and customer needs. oWorks closely with AOA Xinetics leadership and compliance functions to ensure full compliance with Division, Corporate, and Government policies.   Qualifications  Basic Qualifications: oB.S. degree in Engineering and 10 years' experience in the optical products market for Commercial, Civil Space, Military Space, or Airborne applications or related fields.   oKnowledge of optics, optical systems, and complex opto-mechanical and opto-electrical products.   oSignificant history of technical achievements along with demonstrated successes in engineering supervisory and project management roles. oDemonstrated ability to lead engineering teams through a gated design review process. oSuccessfully transitioned designs to manufacturing. oPossess leadership skills to develop, organize and execute engineering activities, including building teams, and assessing technical competencies. oExperience developing and managing engineering processes and standards; coordinating engineering services, infrastructure and tools; and planning and development of engineering budgets and staffing. oStrong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills and the ability to apply them to solve issues and predict potential technical risks. oConducts business with impeccable ethics; leads by example and fosters ethical behavior at all times. Maintains a positive and professional working environment. oExperience recruiting engineering talent. oPossess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, division managers, and peers in the business areas. Preferred Qualifications:   A MS degree and/or PhD in a related engineering discipline.   Secret or Top Secret clearance a distinct plus. Must be willing and able to obtain a DOD clearance.   oSignificant experience with design, build, and deployment of electro-optic systems products. oHave implemented / improved engineering practices and processes. oExperience with engineering product data management (PDM) and collaboration systems. oAn active DOD Secret clearance. 18019998

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
