Consumables Management Technician

Position Summary

JLL is seeking a Consumables Management Technician to join our team. This role will provide inventory management and stocking support for our client?s central stockroom as well as laboratory point of use supply stations. This role will report to the Lab Services Procurement Support Lead.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for ensuring agreed upon inventory levels of over 1,700 line items are maintained across two central stock rooms and thirty-five point of use stations site wide.

  • Primary responsibility for stocking laboratories in the Biologics Development Building.

  • Support inventory management to assure order fulfillment and on-hand quantities meet site requirements.

  • Communicate with management regarding completion of customer requested orders.

  • Maintain stockroom inventories according to the thresholds determined by labs.

  • Assist with chemical stockroom, laboratory supply stockroom, and site inventories.

  • Comply with all GXP regulations and documentation while performing services in applicable areas.

  • Collect and supply metrics as requested by management.

  • Communicate events, issues and observations, in order to promote a safety culture where recognized hazards are avoided through encouragement of ?good catches.?

  • Participates in periodic safety, environmental, and other required inspections/audits of departmental facilities.

  • Performs additional job duties as requested.? May train on other departmental operations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

  • Must be a team player, committed to customer service with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to present information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment while managing multiple work streams and priorities.

  • Performs work in accordance with approved procedures.

  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with scientific customers.

  • Proven strong customer service skills.? Demonstrates understanding and continuous assessment of customer needs.?

  • Clearly communicates with colleagues and customers, understands their goals and work priorities, and provides timely feedback to customers.?

  • Capable of adjusting to changing business needs.

  • Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual.

  • This role entails frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and carrying materials and equipment weighing 50 pounds or less.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • Associate?s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of inventory management experience, preferably within the biopharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills

  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service

  • Knowledge of MS Office suite.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
