Our Mammalian center of excellence, Devens announced expansion plans to introduce biologics development and clinical trial manufacturing capabilities to the site, adding approximately 350 employees over time in state-of-the art development and production facilities.
The role of the Senior Statistician in Biologics Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MS&T) is to provide advanced data analysis and implementation and maintenance of effective statistical control programs for analytical method trending across the Biologics network at BMS (internal and Third Party Manufacturing sites) as well as support of specification setting and various analytical acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities also include development and application of advanced statistical tools, such as multivariate analysis, to complex data sets to support investigations, address questions from regulatory authorities and to enhance analytical method understanding for late stage and commercial biologics manufacturing processes.
The candidate is expected to possess a deep understanding of statistical concepts and to be able to explain complicated concepts to an audience with various levels of statistical knowledge.
The PMA group provides advanced statistical analysis for the process and analytical groups within Biologics MS&T.
The position is located in Devens, MA and reports to the Head of Process Modeling and Analysis (PMA) in Biologics MS&T.
Qualifications Ph.
D.
in Statistics, Biostatistics, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or related disciplines with 4
years of experience or an M.
S.
with 8
years of experience.
Demonstrated problem solving ability, strong leadership, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential.
Experience with the use of and scripting in different software packages like Matlab, SAS, JMP, Minitab, Umetrics SIMCA is an advantage.
Experience with data management systems and data networks is preferred.
Candidate must be willing to travel approximately 10% of the time for this role.
