What this job involves - JLL is seeking a Painter to join our teamThe Painter provides support to assigned buildingsThis role has responsibilities which include prepping surfaces, painting, performing touch-ups to multiple surfaces and finishesThe position performs routine repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the physical structure of the buildingsPrepares, primes, and paints building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildingsThe Painter must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
What is your day to day?Perform the repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the physical structure of the buildingsPrepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings.
Patch and paint office, outside and controlled work environmentsMaintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, furniture and controllers.
Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.
Prepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings.
Communicating with clients to determine their painting requirements and helping them make the best decisions for their projects.
Assembling scaffolding as requiredCovering trim, floors furniture, finishing and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
Setting up ventilators and other safety equipment to protect Painters from unhealthy fumes.
Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they're smooth.
Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them.
Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications.
Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers.
Maintaining an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers and tarps.
Removing old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds or blowtorches.
Estimating time and material costs on painting projects.
Cleaning machines, equipment and work areas using water, solvents and other cleaning aids.
Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments.
Removing and reinstalling fixtures (e.
g.
, doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary.
Completes tasks that include but are not limited to; customer service requests, preventative and general maintenance as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent3
years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electricalStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenPossess mechanical and electrical aptitudeMust have ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbsand occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have the ability to safely perform overhead work while standing on ladders up to 28 ft.
Must have the ability to regularly walk, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, lift, push, pull, etcin order to test and perform maintenance.
Preferred:
Prior experience in a regulated environment such as the pharmaceutical, medical research device, or other Life Science industry preferred.
