$500 Sign on BonusWhat this job involves - This Painter/Generalist position will be part of the IFM team, responsible for delivering Facility Management services to Bristol Myers Squibb in Devens, Ma.
The campus is roughly 1 million sq.
ft.
and consists of Labs, Offices, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Critical Utility Buildings, as well as other supporting structures that are maintained by JLL on site.
The role supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and life safety systems in assigned facilities.
This role also performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, commercial and automatic doors, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
What is your day to day? Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Perform routine repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the physical structure of the buildings.
Completes tasks that include but are not limited to; customer service requests, preventative and general maintenance as assigned.
Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings.
Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, furniture and controllers.
Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers and other building systems.
Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, and sump pumps.
General interior maintenance - hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems, office moves and room setups.
Moves office furniture, equipment, and other materials as requested.
Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
Respond effectively to all emergencies.
Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
Checks malfunctioning equipment and ascertains corrective action required to restore to satisfactory operating condition.
Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary.
Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed.
Perform Vehicle and Equipment Safety Inspections.
Any and all other duties assigned.
Work Schedule - 12 Hour Shift - Shifts rotates bi-weekly - Short week is T, F, S (36 hours) & Long week is W, T, F S (48 hours & OT hours guaranteed) - Both shifts are 6:
00 AM - 6:
00 PM - OT eligible for all hours over 40.
Desired experience and technical skills Required High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License.

years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Basic computer skills required.
Possess safety and mechanical aptitude.
Must have ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have the ability to safely perform overhead work while standing on ladders up to 28 ft.
Must have the ability to regularly walk, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, lift, push, pull, etc.
in order to test and perform maintenance.
Preferred Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable.
Previous work experience in lab or manufacturing environment, cGMP experience desired.
Basic working knowledge of HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical desirable.
CMMS experience desired.
